A good read, but it makes me sad that this affects so many.

And unlike smoking, drinking, military service etc. it is somehow legal to inflict this onto minors (Sunday school, catecism) far before 27ish, when human brains are fully developed and able to think critically.

But, like tobacco companies, they realize they gotta get 'em before they are capable of mature thought and reasoning.

I was going to respond to the question/challenge, but you know what? I’m beginning to realize that an online forum may not be the best place for nuanced discussions. So I’ll use broad strokes and leave it at this:

Fundamentalism does cause me concern. Not religion is fundamentalist and not all denominations/sects/ practices embrace fundamentalism.
I am a religious person, but I am also concerned about social policies that support fundamentalism.
