I wore them everyday and thought of them as my "signature" rings. I must have read this term in some book or magazine. I thought I was sophisticated!

I know exactly what started my jewelry obsession and lead me on my life of all things sparkly. When I was 11 or 12 my parents bought me a birthstone ring for my birthday. Knowing the state of their finances at the time I'm sure it's not real but I loved that ring and wore it non-stop. I felt like Liz Taylor with that ring. I still have it to this day and believe it or not it still fits! I must really have loved it because my original engagement ring was a very similar style.

I remember going gaga over a star ruby then falling for a diffused one on ebay. Then I had it set in India in 22k! I am so in love with my gems now that it was all worth it.
