This looks like it was so much fun! DJ I adore your pendant. Did you buy that one at the show? I do agree, a DBY necklace is going to be a showstopper with that pendant.

How about that Alexandrite ring? Do you recall about how much is was? I would love to acquire an alexandrite stone. That one did look gorgeous. Did you have a chance to see if it would change colors?

Your new bling looks great! Irish, your stacker is beautiful, and DeeJay, I love that pendant! It looks like you all had a great time!

Dee*Jay, your new pendant is totally my style. Just beautiful!

Irish, love the new ruby/diamond band. Very pretty!

Catmom, always good to "see" you too!!!

Beacon, I just realized that I never answered your questions. I did get the pendant at the show, but on Friday when I went earlier with my old work girlfriend rather than on Sunday at the PS outing.

If I recall correctly the alexandrite I had on was $50K. He had another bigger one that flashed more pink than yellow/green (which is what I noticed most in the one that I had on) and I think it was $100K. (Can those prices be right??? I remember him telling me that distincly, both on Friday and on Sunday, but I don''t know anything about the pricing of alexandrites so I hope I''m not terribly mis-speaking here!) He had some others too but I didn''t try any of those on or get prices.

50k sounds about right for a top stone as does 100k....
Large naturals are very very expensive with good color change.

Wow!!!

(I should find some way to use this for leverage... See Honey, I only want a measly little yellow diamond! It could be much worse--I could want an *alexandrite*... !)

This is kind of how I ended up with my beautiful pad ering - I originally wanted an alexandrite. It made the natural sapphire prices seem trivial.
