I went the DIY route:
Pocketfolds came from www.cardsandpockets.com
Cardstock/Envelopes (pearlescent metallic on both) came from www.paperandmore.com --LOVE THEM
Ribbon from www.bagsandbowsonline.com-- very reasonable--got 300 yards of double faced satin for $70.00

Obviously, this is the closed view.

Very cute! And we're getting married on the same day AND at the same time (we're 12 noon but in CA). Funny.

Thanks! Yes, that date is incredibly popular! I found out an acquaintance from high school is getting married that day, and the couple that sat next to us at the Pre-Cana workshop has the same date. October is getting to be just as popular as June!

Wow...incredible job! I love how the lettering on the inserts was designed. Well actually I really love it all!!

they are beautiful,
and from someone that did only partial DIY
I can appreciate all of the work that went into them-
they look great!

They look amazing!! I would believe they had been done professionally if I didn''t know you did them! Well done!

They look so great! It was because of you I went with Cardsandpockets.com too!!

Thanks for sharing!

btw, I just moved to CA from Atlanta last year and boy do I miss Fat Matt''s barbeque!!

Those look great!! Do you mind me asking who much they came out costing?

Thanks everyone for the great compliments!

Shigidigi--Fat Matt''s is the best...considered them for the RD! :) Where in Atlanta were you?

Indecisive- Not at all- The pockets were 1.00 each so 175 there. The cardstock and envelopes were 275, but I had to get 200 each b/c they come in packs of 50 and 100, so, if I only count the amount that I would be using the total would be 143.50, and I paid 75 for 300 yards of ribbon.

So based on the 175 invitations that I am sending out, they cost about 2.25 each. Luckily my maid of honor was able to do all my printing so that cut out a lot of my cost. But keep in mind, that I went with a more expensive cardstock option. The website that I ordered from, their regular cardstock 14.99 for a pack of 100. Not bad at all!

Wow, 2.25 per invitation is incredible!! I just found the ribbon of my dreams at bagsandbowsonline so you are clearly my invitation good luck charm!!

I lived in Virginia Highlands and as much as I love living in SF now, I sure do miss the things I took for granted in Atlanta!!

Promise me next time you go to Matt''s to eat you''ll send yummy vibes my way!

They look beautiful!

I love them! They''re beautiful, first of all, and second, they look so guest-friendly! I''ve never seen little pull out cards like that...I love the idea! Great job!

I love the way everything is staggered and so user-friendly...it''s amazing to me how many people (meaning the guests who receive them) can screw up a wedding invitation after they receive it! I think it''s great that all of the information your guests need is right at their fingertips in an easy-to-view and use format.

My friend tried to throw in all of her info with her invites, so she did a double-sided piece of thin parchment paper folded up inside with tons of information that was so hard to figure out what was what... I thought it was in very poor taste next to her beautiful invites, and several people were offended by her demands of where to be and when, along with her 4, count them, 4 registry venues.

I was shocked, suffice it to say!

I am so glad to see this done in such a refreshing and innovative way! Bravo! You did a FANTASTIC job!

P.S. I''m saving your invites to my favorites so when the time comes, I can go back and see how you did everything and hopefully get mine to be half as beautiful! Hope that''s okay with you, kimberlina!

kimberlina...thank you, I may take you up on that!

I was raving on the phone to my girlfriend about them this morning and she just DIDN''T get it! Arghhh! I couldn''t wait to get home to send her your pictures!!! (She did finally understand my excitement after viewing, thankfully!)

When the time comes, I may be picking your brain...THANKS!!!

That seems like a great price! Why did you order the cardstock and envelopes from paperandmore instead of where you got the pocketfolds? Also, what sizees did you get? Was it hard to do all the printing yourself? Sorry for all the questions! You have me so inspired about invitations right now when I didn''t really care before

The envelopes that cards and pockets offered just seemed way to flimsy to me, so I went looking for other alternatives. When I found paper and more, I found that they had a whole lot more choices for the cardstock as well. And I think they are cheaper than cards and pockets, but I haven't done the exact math yet.
And I actually didn't do the printing myself, my MOH and her family run a design and digital printing studio, so I lucked out big time there. But I printed the envelopes myself, and it was really easy.

Kimberlina, looking back on your invitations (I have them bookmarked!)- can you tell me how you did your maps? I have been trying and trying to get it right and it is very difficult and yours turned out so lovely. I''d love a lesson or two on how you made yours so clear and apparent where to find your venues!
