I''ve had issues in the past with white gold turning yellow on me quickly and I have to get it rhodium plated pretty often. But I got the WF scattered diamond band in white gold (as a RHR) and it must be a higher quality mix since I''ve only had it re-plated once (and that was because I scratched it up and I thought it looked like it needed it). My ering is still platinum. Hopefully it''ll be ok to have the eternity band in wg and the ering in platinum. I''m actually having my ering sized up a quarter of a size and having the eternity band made that same size so I''ll have a little more breathing room in them in the summer.
You can always have the e-ring rhodium plated when you replate the white gold band and then they''ll look the same!Date: 3/6/2009 10:34:12 AM

I figured there wasn''t a whole lot of metal anyway so the mixing of the two would be ok!

Annette, you are a naughty girl! And you think just like me! hee hee ''What holiday/occasion is coming up that will justify me asking for more jewelry?''
Maybe you need some pretty WF studs to go with your rings. Whatever you do, keep it quiet and don''t share it with me! Just kidding - this will certainly be all I get (other than cheapo silver pieces) for a while! I have a feeling that this new eternity band is going to feed the ''I need a bigger stone in my ering'' syndrome. But I will not speak a word of that for a long time!
Diamondseeker, that''s a good suggestion! My ering is at the jeweler right now being sized up a quarter size to accomodate and match my new eternity band! I''ll get the ering back in a couple of hours. She will be all polished and pretty for a couple of weeks while I wait to get the new band!

Estimated ship date is the 19th but I asked for earlier if they could swing it! I can''t wait for the WF photo either - they always take the most amazing photos!! Yep, ring twins!
londongirl, I know it must have been torture to wait 6 weeks knowing your ring was coming! urrgghhhh!

The ring is stunning, isn''t it?!! I am so looking forward to hearing from everyone when they get theirs!!!
Perhaps when I get my solitaire, I could consider this as an eternity to pair with it.
The only thing is... *whispers* I am a die-hard YG girl, and am wondering whether an eternity band would look nice in YG? I am pretty sure they would be able to make me up a YG version if I asked really nicely.
Or, if I chose to go with WG, would it have a different hardness to YG? Is it likely to damage the YG solitaire, not being the ''correct'' metal alongside? I wonder how hard WG is in comparison with YG?
We actually discussed having it shipped to my mother in FL and then back to me... but I figured for what it''s worth... we get to meet Chris in person (he''s just lovely isn''t he?) and we will get to see the WF facilities (can''t wait!) and we won''t have to wait for FedEx/my mother/USPS...Date: 3/7/2009 8:55:30 AM

yay luckytexan! Ring triplets!!!! Do you get yours sooner since you''re picking it up? I would LOVE to live close by WF. But that would be so bad for my wallet... the bad thing is that you have to pay sales tax. But I''d take that trade-off!
One thing that''s interesting - even though this is now a stock item, they don''t keep the settings in house. They get the setting from their vendor when someone places an order and then they set the stones. I thought they had everything in the store but they don''t. So that explains the wait I guess.
Wow, so gorgeous, love it!Date: 3/4/2009 8:23:03 AM
