happygal: sorry did not know you had bumped my thread. i would have answered your questions earlier. the fine line setting is 2.85 mm at the bottom and tapers to 1.9 mm at the top. i have not experienced any rubbing at all due to the taper. both rings together are extremely comfortable! hth!
