Pink-blue colour change stone

The ring is marked 925, looks old to me. Bought as Amethyst, but l don't think so. The stone is pale pink in incandescent light, blue purple in fluorescent light , in day light it's some mixture of blue and pink., depends on lighting. Dimensions are 12x8mm approx. It's clean in 25x magnification, as l can see. Inert in black light.Any idea on the stone, age, origin of the ring?

Agree, that the centre gem is amethyst. The surrounding stones are marquiste.
Its likely modern, the style has been popular for quite a few decades.
