Pink Sapphire - help needed TIA!

Windowed with only medium saturation. What you are looking for will not be found by shopping at just one vendor. You'll have to inquire with several vendors. What is your budget (just trying to gauge if it is a realistic budget for your requirements)? Heated or untreated? Any shape?

Let's see...first one is much smaller than your specified size but has strong saturation and good color. This is the one I would choose if I were looking (full disclosure: I saw this sapphire and considered it myself for a second until I remembered that its not my color, lol!)

second: dull is the first word that comes to mind. It is lighter and lacking in saturation so just seems blah - but big and blah though!

third: better saturation than the second, but not as good as the first. Is slightly more violet which appeals to me, but the lack of saturation makes the stone greyish to my eye. Has a window as well.

The first is the nicest but is less than 1.5 ct, half the size of what you are looking for.
The second is pale and orangish with an obvious window.
The third is also under 3 ct and windowed, but has better saturation that sapphire 2.

I just remembered that Justin purchased a large unheated pink sapphire from Vance Gems not long ago. They don't have a website but you can call them.

Hello.

The very first one you posted by seller avisdiamond seems to be of best choice for many reasons.
1) the sapphire is GIA (best Lab) certified.
2) It no heat and that gorgeous color! Very rare.
3) the size is pretty big.
5) No inclusions with those super shot photos they took and its seems its taken with no flash so thats a plus.

I collect sapphires and as a gemologist, stick to GIA certificates.

That seller seems to have top feedback and high end items.
I suggest you deal with sellers whom have good stock in that tier.

Good luck and please let us know how you make out!

When somebody's first post to a forum (any forum, any subject) pushes a product sale, my spider sense starts tingling.

For colored stones, many of use here prefer AGL over GIA, fwiw.

I see its sold, did you buy the first one?

If not, perhaps once again a lurker has struck...

Mine too.

It was a gorgeous setting, so I hope whoever bought it will come back with more pictures.

Love your kitties!

Sometimes, someone has been eyeing it for a while but when it gets a sudden instant exposure on PS, they worry it'll be bought and it becomes the impetus for them to hit the BIN button.
