Just to remind about new turquoise pieces.....if the description doesn’t say untreated, then it’s likely stabilized. Sleeping beauty is very special, but like many turquoise types which comes from famous mines, only the top few percents are gem quality enough to be untreated. The rest is stabilized. There’s enough of untreated Sleeping beauty given the production of the mine when it was open, but it definitely takes more work finding and is more expensive. Just FYI. Nothing wrong with treated material if you don’t mind it.

I’ve noticed this too...everything ive seen has been stabilized...as long as it’s not dyed, I don’t think I mind too much, but I’d love to know if anyone has a source for untreated!
