Platinum share prong wedding band + 18K micro pave e-ring

I have a 18K micro pave e-ring and a platinum share prong wedding band. (I purchased both at a separate place).

The jeweler who sold us the e-ring ensure that the the platinum band won't eat out my 18K e-ring band...

Then I read so many articles saying that platinum will eat out 18K band..

Is that true?!?! I'm freaking out as my e-ring band is a thin band with micro pave setting ....

Here is my 18K e-ring.... I'm scared that my platinum wedding band will eventually eat out my 18K e-ring..and my rock will fall out....

should I just have my e-ring re-make it to platinum??
