Will do, quaeritur! I'm so excited...I don't know if I can make it that long!

Now the local jeweler I ordered the ring from is trying to push me on one of their stones. I gave them a copy of my cert. for the measurements, and they went out and found 'comparable' stones to try to get me to change my mind. I thought they'd respect the fact that I found my stone elsewhere...at least I'm getting the ring from them! Now, are they going to do a lousy job mounting the stone if I don't buy theirs?

Well, if this were me, I'd simply purchase the mounting from the jeweler when it arrives and then ship it to DCD and let *them* mount the stone.
As far as dealing with the pressure from the jeweler, you could nicely say "I really appreciate your efforts to find options for me, but I've already committed to this stone and purchased it. It's now beyond the return window, so I'm staying with this stone. I now know that you have the resources, though, to find comparable stones and will certainly keep that in mind because I'm sure I'll be in the market in the future as well for gifts for my wife."
