Let me start by saying that I am a IT guy that knows little to nothing about Jewelry but I am a avid online shopper and am usually very good with finding deals online. I am trying to find my girlfriend of 4.5 years the perfect ring without exactly breaking the bank. I make around 1000 after tax per paycheck so I was thinking of spending around 2000 for the ring. I welcome any opinions if people think this is a good price range or if I should be paying more. I've read some articles saying i should be dropping 3 months salary on this ring which to me seems crazy. Anyhow on to the ring. She has made mention that she hates princess cuts so I am thinking of going for a round cut diamond. I would love to be in the .75-1c center gem with possibly some gems around. I like the look of the rings that arent exactly solid but have more twists and curves. Not sure if thats helpful or not. What I need help with is to find a reputable store online to make this happen with as much bang for my buck as possible. Thank you all in advance

Ok well after some searching around I think I found the ring I might want to get or at least the design type. It is a Ring that incorporates the wedding band into. I seen it at JB Robinsons and just now again on Amazon. My only issue with the one on Amazon is the quality and price of the ring. It seems too cheap so It would be nice to find this same variant in a higher quality better Diamond

Keep in mind that the matching wedding band you featured would not be practical on those days when your wife want to wa=ear just a band and not her ER.

I think I am actually straying away from that original style that I posted. The more I talk to people the more i learn about the importance of clarity and color. Im starting to lean more towards something like this one with the diamond listed below. Will run close to $2200. Just curious if this is a good deal or I could do better

This stone is too deep. Depth should be in the 60 to 62% range.
