Hi,

Do you have any information on the crown and pavillion angles?

Without the crown and pav angles, it would be speculation at best.

Also, I haven't price-shopped for awhile, so please don't hold me to this - but I think the prices may be a little high, too.

Just MHO!

ETA: GREAT size for studs, though! YUM-O!

Unfortunately I don''t have any information on crown and pavillion angles (GIA reports) - I''m no expert but do you think it''s not wise to purchase these if I don''t have this information? I''m looking at 1.4-1.6 tcw on BN website in the UK. I just thought that BN is the way to go since they started a website for UK customers as well now - prices are much better at least for UK, they only add VAT to the US pricing I believe. I understand that prices might seem a bit high to some people but I don''t have as many choices around here!

the tables are a little large for me as is depth....but i guess it depends on what the priorities are. i always choose well cut over anything else now having worn not-well-cut earrings and then buying ideal cut stones. the difference to me was like night and day.

You may still save money by buying online and getting them delivered to the UK. I think you''ll find information on the Customs and Excise website about duties and the courier companies also have this type of information on their sites.

If BN''s are not well cut then they may look smaller than an ideal cut with a smaller weight. The difference in price may not be that great, even taking into account the VAT, import duties etc.

What''s your budget? Maybe we can help out with some alternatives?

If you''re concerned about cut, you can look for BN stones with AGS certs and get the numbers off of there. It''s a good start when the cert says cut grade of "0."

Example:

0.72 I SI2 0.7 on the HCA £1,073.52
0.72 I SI2 1.2 on the HCA £1,128.00

I think BN is a good option, and the question is just what kind of priorities you have for the stones.

My budget is around $4000, depending on the stones, I can be flexible. Is SI1 ok considering I won''t have a chance to look at them before purchase? Do you think I is a good choice for earrings? What table/depth should I be looking for stud earrings? I would like all of your expert opinions!

Hope-

You have a nice budget for your earrings. I would give Whiteflash a call and get a pair of their ACA diamonds set in platinum. Their ACA diamonds are cut to the highest standards, and they are a great choice for earrings- they sparkle like mad!

How about something like this?? I hope I matched them up ok....They are both from Whiteflash''s ACA collection...

But I would just give Whiteflash a call, give them the specs, and let them pick out a set of really awesome sparklers for you!!! I forget whose studs these are (from Whiteflash), but arent they just GORGEOUS!!!
