Please help me choose the next stone to set...

You have the most beautiful stones to choose from!! I voted for the Mandarin Garnet, but it was a tie between that one and the black opal for me. I would love to see the amazing setting you come up with for the black opal!

I think it's one of those designs that you'll either love or hate, but I can promise that it'll be fun!

How is your design coming along for the Jeff White indicolite suite? I'm really jealous of those guys!

Did you see @LC2016's recent acquisition? It's a large asscher that blew my mind.

Yep! Properly drooled all over the photos! I have to constantly keep reminding myself I already have more than enough spess jewellery, and I don't need any more, because every time I see a new stone I start craving it. sigh

When I first saw it, I immediately searched for an asscher spess, and I was going to sell this one. Nothing! I think I can finally confirm that asscher is my favorite cut, and sadly, I only own one. I really want to change that.

I’m certain I will love it!! Now I’m very intrigued and would like to change my vote to the black opal .

About the indicolite suite.. I was feeling overwhelmed about choosing the right design, so I put them away for now. I need to either set them or sell them. They’re too pretty to stay hidden away!

That happens to me too... and putting them aside for a bit always helps. My head says don't you dare sell them. My heart says please sell them to me.

There are so many possibilities when picking a setting - it can be very hard to decide!

I cannot decide between the red spinel and the green emerald. But I did choose the emerald since I just had to vote for one. But it’s a really hard choice between those two! I will say that those are the two top contenders rather than the opal or the garnet. Those would be far behind for me. I guess because an emerald and a Redstone or such a classic gemstones. I can see a beautiful three stone in the emerald.

Very true! I'm going to try and stick with whatever PS chooses. We shall see.

The thing I like about setting the opal next is that I have a really festive design picked out.

And it will go with every color in the closet. lol The con is that I think I'll worry about the durability. My friend, who is an Australian dealer, assures me that Lightning Ridge black material is the most durable opal on the market (not including boulder or ribbon material, etc.). Still, you hear so many horror stories. But if I had to choose which stone excites me the most in this moment, it would probably be the spess. I just love all shades of orange!
