Please help me compare these two diamonds

I am searching for a center for my 3 stone ring - would be grateful for any thoughts on these two:

I like the proportions and idealscope image of your second choice much more than the first, it doesn't hurt that it's larger either! If it's within budget I would go for the second stone listed. But I should say that you really can't go wrong with an ACA they are beautiful stones.

For cut and size I like the bigger one better (but its splitting hairs on the cut).

The 1.57 ct is more than I had wanted to spend, and the 1.33 ct is my next favorite, so I guess my question is whether people think the difference between the two is really worth stretching the budget.

It kind of depends on how big you want this ring to end up being! What size side stones are you planning on? My solitaire is the same size as the larger one and I have considered making it a 3 stone, but I really think I'd prefer the 1.3 center in a three stone ring for myself. There is a big difference in price, so consider what you want the total budget to be.

I don't think the difference in cut would be noticable enough to pay more. The difference in size would likely be noticable -- jus tbarely -- if the stones were compared side by side. Once set in a three stone mount, I don't think the difference would be noticable.

I was thinking of 0.4 ct sidestones or thereabouts. My ring size is 4.5. Diamondseeker2006, I'm curious why you said you would prefer the 1.33 ct for a three stone for yourself?
