I'm not really sure what to think right now...I'm sort of in that "could this possible be happening to me mode." I'm resetting an aqua into my pearl bracelet which currently has a topaz. I contact Sally and packaged everything up to ship to Thailand. Ok problem #1 is DH took it to the post office who sent it first class mail and insured it for only $100, that was 16 days ago. He saw the package sitting there ready to go and thought he was doing me a favor not realizing what was actually in it (closer to 3k) and that I wanted it sent a certain way to insure it gets to Sally. Now I'm freaking out that I'm out my bracelet and the aqua.

Problem #2I have a blanket jewelery insurance which covers pieces up to $2500, but I don't know if it would cover shipping through the mail especially since we didn't insure it that way....I'm going to hold out hope that Sally will get it sometime in the next 2 weeks. I think when I first sent her everything it took about 3 weeks to get to her. After that I guess I will reseach or see if I can even file a claim through my insurance company. Just sucks as it took forever to find a large enough aqua that I loved..

I'm hoping I'm just jumping ahead of myself and everything will turn up in Thailand.

How long did the PO estimate it would take? I have had some things get there at lightning speed and some too weeks. I'm sending you dust, good wishes, but also wondering what the post office has to say.

Well, take a few deep breaths because when I send or receive mail to/from Thailand, if I send it by "normal" mail, it can sometime zip through the system and lands within about 2 weeks.

One important thing ......... if your hubby didn't realise it was your bracelet, I suspect he didn't declare that on the envelope for customs? If he didn't that's a good thing! As Sally will have told you, you have to make parcels to her very innocuous without anything to suggest there may be jewellery inside.

Have you emailed Sally to let her know you're panicking? I shipped about 10 diamonds to her once and could hardly breathe or sleep until they arrived. She knew I was anxious and sent me an email the minute they arrived.

I already had the custom form filled out and I think it said handmade accessory or something really neutral like that. I haven't heard from Sally yet so I think I will email her and see if it has arrived- which I'm sure it hasn't because she told me she would email when it did. DH said the post office told him in would be there "next week" whatever that means. Love him, but he is not one for the details.

I'm sure I can recoop most of the money from insurance- which I'm putting on the side burner for now. I think I'm most upset because the aqua was stunning and a great weight at 6cts. It took FOREVER to find something that could work with my bracelet and I was lucky enough to get it from Freke. I'm just hoping it will magically appear soon, until then stay tuned!

Ok well now I feel like a complete idiot. Sally just shot me an email letting me know everything arrived today. I'm so relieved Many thanks to everyone for the PS dust for it to arrive safely...see what I mean?!?!?! I post and within 24 hours the package shows up
