Please share your "blingyest" CS settings!

One of the many things I like about the CS forum is the great diversity of settings that people choose to showcase their stones. Some are very simple, some are very creative and individual and some are more "blingy" or "showy". I don't think one type is necessarily any better than the other, but I am always curious as to what makes someone decide to get one type of setting over another. I know sometimes it may be finances, but in many cases I'm sure it's just a matter of preference.

So for this thread, please share your "blingyest" setting and why you love and/or hate it.

If you don't have a setting that you consider blingy, but have a favorite colored stone ring photo that fits the bill saved somewhere, please share those also.

I am notoriously not blingy. In fact, for a while, I was very proud to not have any settings with any diamonds....that didn't last terribly long.

Thanks for posting your photos Freke, and you are correct, although quite pretty, I wouldn't call any of those blingy

Thanks Uppy! I guess that ring may be "blingy" compared to your other settings, but once again, I don't see that as a blingy ring.... OR, I've just become a somewhat "blingy 'ole broad" as I've gotten older .... but only in rings, certainly nothing else about me screams "bling!".

My rings run the gamut from very simple to lots of accent diamonds and everything in between. I guess one person's "blingy" is another person's "normal"

I don't have a lot of blingy jewelry but my most blingy is probably my demantoid Leon.


Not precisely a colored stone but my onyx and diamond ring is pretty blingy too but mostly because of the contrast.


And for non-rings, my floating pendant.

I guess of the rings currently in my jewelry box, these would be the two blingyest:

3.49ct GIT certed cuprian tourmaline from Mozambique in yellow gold (blingy because of the double halo) and my red mahenge that I started a thread on back when I first got it.

I'm contemplating one that would be even "more flashy" but it's still in the planning stage which was one of the reasons I started this thread (that and pure curiosity).

Hello....this is my engagement ring which is my blingiest setting. It is a 5.18 ct yellow sapphire with a diamond halo. I knew I wanted an emerald cut with a halo, a yellow sapphire and a larger center stone. I love the contrast between the emerald cut and the sparkle of the diamond halo. This ring is perfect for me and I wouldn't change a thing about it except maybe for a big yellow diamond (lol)!!!!!! I love looking at everyone's rings and seeing the different styles.
