The snow changed to rain
what a hollow sound
But it seems to match
my tears falling down

A new year's dawning
I'm stuck in the past
How long is this heartbreak
expected to last?

I've been here before
I should know the score
Time keeps on moving
my pain, it ignores

When the new year falls
who am I to kiss?
It's one more thing Santa
forgot from my list

Once the big ball drops
and then it's 12:01
Here I'll be again
my options still none

An unbroken string
Another sad new year

Stained with all my tears....
