Pls Help! HCA 3.0 GIA triple EX diamond

Here''s the diamond I''m considering. Could it be a nice ideal cut diamond even though the HCA score is 3.0? I will be able to look at the diamond personally. What should I look out for when I view it?

I''m not sure whether the vendor has it where can I get my own? Is that the only way to tell whether it''s well cut?

If you cannot get an IS, then you need to take the dimaond into many different lighting environments and look at it. It should be pleasing to your eye in all of them. This video shows what a well cut stone can look like: http://www.vimeo.com/9028688 Check that your diamond doesn''t go overly dark in the center when you hold it closer to yourself to look at it (say 12 inches). Even in low lighing, say under a table, it should still "glow" if it is well cut.

Hi fashionangel

This stone has a steep pavilion angle which could cause issues, it is possible that it will show leakage and also these stones can look worse when dirty. I would really want to view this diamond through an idealscope or look at the stone closely in as many different lighting conditions as you can and look out for a dark ring around the table or dark areas, plus the stone losing a lot of '' power'' when the light is reduced.
