Which would you like best for a red center in YG

And for a size 7.25 finger, which do you think would be most flattering.

Re: POLL: Which three stone oval do you like an why?

The one with the sapphire appears to be trilliants???

In order they look like ovals, half moons, bullets or shields, and trilliants.

I like them all except I do not like trilliants as much as the other three.

Incidentally, I have a setting with half moon sides but they are shaped a little differently than the one above. I am also getting a colored stone oval for the center.

Re: POLL: Which three stone oval do you like an why?

I like three stones w/all the same kind of stone, so I'd say oval sides would be my first choice. I dig traps tho, so I'd vote that second.

Yes thanks for pointing out my error.
Regardless im leaning toward the bullets Or ovals, but i think the bullets might be more flattering to my larger finger

None of those rings has traps. (I see you posted but I am going ahead and posting this in case others want to see the difference.)

Here is a ring with trapezoid sides. You often see them with Emerald cuts or asschers:

What size center stone?

I like the look of the half moons... Not sure the reason why my eye just prefers it...

10 - 11mm...

With diamonds your right the half moons look fabulous, my only convern is it doesnt look as "finger flattering " especially considering the center wont be diamond

plus i llve bullets, my only concern with those is that they will be to small to produce any real sparkle

All ovals. Looks like a traditional three-stone ring with three separate and identifiable stones, not like a center stone with appendages grafted on. liz

I assumed that would already nkt be an issue sense the center stone is a different color, hmmmm

If the centre stone won't be a diamond, I'd go for chubby trillions. It leads the eye to follow the width of you finger, and gives great coverage. I also think it just helps the centre oval to stand out.

Just my opinion :))

Thanks enerchi i always love your imput! Would you think the same thing may apply to graduated bullet?

I think you called it that they may not have the same impact in terms of sparkle. In my life I tend towards triangular and square shapes so I really love trillions! I like all your options, that would just be my preference if I were designing a colored stone ring! Plus I love how the point of a trillion sort of "closes off" the three stone, KWIM?

Are you leaning towards bullets/shields ?

Originally i was certain i was going with half moons, but then i saw that buklet one and fell in love. Plus i was undecided about oval vs a step cut so i thought it would be a nice compromise as long as the bullet were big enough to provide some noce broad flashes.

But theres a cushion three stone with chubby traps at DBL tjat i really love thats making the decision even more difficult.

These are all from my very most favorite bling site, bayco.com. I think it proves that you can't go wrong! Personally my favorite is the oval surround. I love how it makes the red pop but is not a traditional halo. I also love the step cut trap sides. Heck I love them all!

Oooooh!! Rosebloom, you are a STAR !! I'm still picking trillions first then the ruby w side pears as my second choice.

Nice rings!

Based on the images rosebloom posted, my fav is the oval 3 stone...great finger coverage and just elegant imo. I tried on an all diamond 3 stone way back when and had it been in budget, that's what I'd be wearing on my finger now....

Nielseel- link or pic of the dbl one you are lusting after?? :naughty:

I think i like it because chubby trillions just end up looking a lot like chubby pears.

I really like that pear ring its   , hmmm, this was suppose to help me decide and now your just adding more

Those pics you posted are beautiful Rosebloom, i really like a lot of those, though im trying to avoid a halo, its too common (one of the reasons im disappointed in my pear) I would make it a 5 stone but my only concern there is that i dont have enough finger coverage

Half moons are my absolute faces for ovals. But any of the Leon designs are dreamy.

I am fairly certain thats going to be out of my budget  But i love her work SOOO much. I considered either going with ERD or waiting longer and going with LM....But i think ERD does do nice work, and its a lot more budget friendly. Though i dont know just how bad a "bmw" price is

I think you could do a five stone if the proportions were right. I love these proportions - much smaller side stones. I think they really make the center stone pop (and are easy on the budget).

Are you going to have Leon make it? I know you're a huge fan like I am. I hope you're able to!

You are right they do make the center pop, BUT, i still love diamonds, and i want them to have a somewhat important roll as well. Not staring, but a close second. I thought i had everything figured out with my pear, but there are a few key things about it that doesnt say "unique", and when i look down at my finger i think "ho hum"

I like half moons and trilliants about the same. With a 10-11 mm, I'm not sure that the ovals will have a proportion that I like. I would have to see it. I think in general, however, they all make lovely rings, and you should just go with what speaks to you.
