I think I read somewhere that the best diamond pictures are taken on a sunny day, under a tree...in sort of ''dappled'' sunlight...

my avatar pic was in those conditions, but it was in the ring box, looking back I could have gotten better shots under the apple tree if I''d had it out of the box....

I am suffering from major diamond blues right now you guys - I''m so jealous of everyone!!!!!

Here''s one of my favorites of lynnb''s ring.

and this is why I want a better camera - because the colors I could see with my *eyes* and with the viewfinder of my camera prior to "focusing" were more these jewel tones like lynn''s pic here than the resulting pic in my avatar on the left. Every time I focus my camera it loses color variety

Thanks, you guys...but I sold that ring quite some time ago. For some reason...I'm not sure why (especially after seeing that picture)...it never worked for me.

Now that old-cut marquise that FG just posted is a different story!!!

I'd grab that in a heartbeat!
