Hi girls!

here is a picture of my bridesmaids dresses. My mom got married in Nov 1973 and had hunter green dresses. As a child, I always thought BM dresses were supposed to be pink or purple and people got married in June so I thought my mom was so weird and told myself when I grew up, my bridesmaids would NEVER wear green dresses!!! This color is so pretty though, its great for fall and matched my fiance's kilt tartan.

Lol - Yeah. you girls are right I should just suck it up and buy them at my store.. My boss and I were just discussing bras for under wedding dresses today. We have this bra in the store thats a long line, but its a PUSH UP.. a giirl tried it on today when I was there and I was in awe.. so my boss told me I needed it for under my dress. Its not like they don''t know I''m flat chested... lol.. Maybe I''ll get me some

glaucomflecken - Your bm dresses are lovely. Its nice to see a color that is different from what everyone else uses. I agree it will look very nice with the kilts and I really like the way the dress is all flowy on the bottom..

Thanks MelissaSue!!! It was hard to find a dress that would work for all my girls because they are all different sizes, heights and coloring! and VERY self concious; so I thought this one would work since it covers them up and doesnt cling too much.

Here's a pic of the tartan my FI is wearing, he's a former Marine and this is their unofficial tartan. he's of Scottish decent so we thought this would be a neat way to honor both his heritage and his years of service.

Melissa, that bra sounds great!....and what''s the scoop on this new "most advanced" bra that''s on all the commercials? (What''s teh word on your girls and the dress?....I think that''s my fave of your pics and hope they like it!!)

Glaum, that''s a great design--love the inverted pleat in the skirt!

OOOHHH OOOHHH!! I WANT TO POST MINE!!!

thanks blueroses! there's also a bow and long ribbon that goes down the pleats.

I read somewhere that that new VS ipex "most advanced" bra has strategic thicker padding in the front to prevent, um, problems on a cold day????

MINE, those are the cutest dresses!!! red was my second top color choice.

blueroses - The most advanced bra.. yeah.. not so advanced. The fabric is really nice and the concept behind it is that its like an unlined bra, but the way they designed the cup it gradually increases its thickness so it''s thicker where it covers the nips.. so you dont'' have show through.. problem is.. people really aren''t looking for unlined bras for the most part.. except for larger chested women.. and get we aren''t carrying DD cups OR 40s in the store.. so the ones that want it.. can''t get it.. its not my style of bra.. I Like the padded ones.. People really aren''t buying it that much either, from what I can tell.. at least not for how much it is being advertised.

as for my girls and the dresses - none of them have told me anything. I emailed them the pic the other day.. no one responded. My best friend is moving this weekend and her wedding is in 2.5 weeks so I didn''t really expect to hear anything from her.. my sister never checks her email.. and my FSIL is away at college and has never responded to any email I sent her, but I know she gets them because her mom tells me.. lol. The BM that I took to try them on really liked them..so i didn''t bother sending the picture to her. I really think that its THE ONE though.. I just have that feeling about it.

MINE - That BM dress was my second choice for my BM dress for my best friends wedding (We all got to pick out own from davids). I really liked the style of it (better than the one I chose.. see above) but it was just not flattering on me.. the chiffon was very clingy and showed all of my lumps and bumps. Your daughters dress is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE though. SO CUTE. I love the style.

I finally have my BM dresses settled, so I thought I would revive this thread...

My girls will be wearing this dress in a similiar color (called Pitsachio, it''s a little bit more sage green than the color in the picture) and they will all have champagne sashes. The dress is made out of silk dupioni, so it has more texture than my gown--which I think makes for a nice contrast. The dress is so flattering on so many different body types and it looks great as the girls walk. Very excited...

My junior bridesmaid will be wearing this dress (she's nine).  It will be pitsachio in the bodice with a champagne ruffle at the bottom.  Since she's young, the straps are a bit thicker and they tie at the shoulder. It also has more of a line effect and is less fitted (I swear it's not a super-sexy dress that I'm asking a nine year old to wear). They are champagne on one side and green on the other, so it has this cute two-tone effect.

My 3 girls will probably be wearing this JCrew dress (short navy "Sophia" dress). They ordered them but haven''t been able to try them on because they aren''t in the store, so we''ll see how they look on. The colors of the wedding/flowers will be blue, green and white, so the navy will look really pretty and flattering.

that''s a great dress!! I''ve had my eye on it too...if I were doing a destination wedding, there''s no doubt that I would have bought the sophia in the longer version and been done with it! I wish that they made the shorter sophia in more colors... I also love the silk strapless one on their website..but again..the colors are a little limited (green or fuschia).

the navy is absolutely stunning. I bet your bridesmaids will look gorgeous!

abradabra - The BM dreses you chose are beautiful. Extremely elegant and classy. I love them. Your Junior BM dress is adorable too!

sparkler - the jcrew dress is really cute. definitely rewearable..

Although at my friends wedding last night, one of her co-workers showed up in a NOT so rewearable bridesmaids dress..I''m guessing it was from her sisters wedding that was about a month ago.. that was ALMOST the same color as OUR dresses! I was stunned at the tackyness.. but I guess she wanted to get her moneys worth!

Oh.. I also came across this BM dress the other day. Its very similar to my other choice.. but its a tad cheaper.. and my BM (the one who just got married) is not crazy about my first choice because she feels it might be too form fitting for her. So I thought this one might be a cute alternate. I like the flower. It would still be pink and black obviously.. The other cool thing is its by eden and they also make maternity bm dresses, which is HOPEFULLY a possiblity for my newlywed BM.. :)
