Post your FAVORITE PLAIN SOLITAIRE setting!

In no particular order:

1) Diamondseekers Leon Mege
2) Vatche Caroline (also owned by Diamondseeskers DD)
3) Vatche Xprong

A custom setting that Mark Morrell has on his site is my fav. plain solitaire.

My favorite is obviously my WF custom setting. It would be kinda weird if that weren't my favorite, you know?

My favorite stock setting, though, is the Legato Sleek Line setting from WF.

The original classic Tiff setting  ...so many copies but this is still the most lovely IMO:

The simpler the better. Makes the stone pop and can be paired with many different bands over the yrs for totally different looks.

ETA- or any one of mark morrell's designs.

I love the Julia :)

My favorite is the Classic Tiffany but for stones over 2ct this Leon runs a really close second!

My favorite is definitely the Vatche Caroline. Second runner up is Victor Canera's Trueste.

I love seeing all these solitaires in one thread. As much as I like side stones, when I reset my ering two years ago, I went from the classic yg solitaire (1987) to a split shand wg solitaire. Let's see if I manage to get some pics to post. (double crossed fingers...)

I had not seen this one before, it's gorgeous! Victor really does beautiful work. I'll have to remember this one, thanks rubybeth.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the Cartier 1895. I think it is elegant and beautiful :)

she designed it, I thought?

You've got lots of beautiful choices but I think my vote would be the classic Tiffany. I would go with Excel to make it - I still think their version is the closest to the real thing. I love the swoopy, six prong head - makes the stone look as large as possible. You could also pair many different bands with it - particularly if you don't mind the gap. I love the gap that it creates though!

I'm glad you are going back to a solitaire setting - I loved your solitaire before the halo!!
