Wifey2b''s Dad was taken too the hospital early this morning.

So far it looks like pancreatitis from unknown cause.
He doesnt drink alcohol so that eliminates the most common cause.
They are still running tests and waiting for results.

You got it Storm. Will keep your DIN,you and wifey2b in my thoughts and prayers.Hoping for the best possible outcome..

I''ll keep him and your family in my thoughts.

update: they think it may be an ulcer and sent him home too follow up with his doctor.
The ct came back negative for pancreatitis.

A ton of dust and prayers outgoing.

My prayers are with wifey2b''s dad, mom and other family members. An ulcer, as horrible as they are, sounds much less serious than pancreatitis.

Thanks for the update. Sending healing prayers his way, and a hug to wifey2b.

Glad to hear that they sent him home. Sending my best wishes and prayers.

Good news, I hope it continues.

Sending my best Storm.

Better news than what you had feared...More thoughts and well wishes.

Sending thoughts and prayers your way--I''m glad it''s not pacreatitis.

Although ulcers are still a pain, great to hear Strm that it wasn''t something more serious. I hope he recovers quickly and completely.
On an academic note (as I know you like that stuff)..if you''d like any info on the treatment of ulcers, drop me a line. The Australian Dr. that won last years Nobel Prize for finding the cure for stomach ulcers is an in law of mine..

Big hugs and hopeful thoughts outgoing to Wife2B and her dad. Keep us posted.

Oh my....I am so overwhelmed and in tears - thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement.
Today my Dad is back to work - he did have a spell in the night but slept sleeping up some...there is the possibility it is a hiatus hernia, and that would make sense for him to have a spell laying down - them things don''t like lying down when they are having their little fits - giggle - my mom and I both know that...
The docs have given my dad some meds, but would like a follow up incase there is an ulcer, but over all - other than tired - he seems to be doing ok today - we will see what tonight brings.
I know these things can act like a heart problem, and with heart problem in his family, I think it scared him a little - even tho he is a brave man - and strong...I personally have seen him deal with many accident victims and single handedly with a crowbar - rip a door off a car, so my dad is no wuss - lol....and that door I had seen 3 other men try together...ok - so he is my hero...
But anyway - thank you all for your prayers and well wishes, and your support - you are all great - :}:}:}
My sister''s kids have left, so maybe I will have a bit more time here now - has been a very busy 3 weeks here...
Thanks again!!!!

So glad to hear your dad is feeling better - sending good thoughts for his continued recovery.

Great news!!!

HI:

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

kind regards--Sharon

Such good news!!! YAY!

I've been missing from Pricescope because of my own family drama, so I just saw this (and I said a prayer immediately before I saw the good news at the end of the thread!). My mother had pancreatitis a few years ago, although she doesn't drink more than a teaspoonful of alcohol a year and never did, and it was excruciating. I am glad it was not that for your father! My mother is the cause of current drama, though. I will start a thread about it so that I need not hijack this one.

Big hugs to you, wifey2b.

Deb
