Storm, while I lack your eloquence in writing prayers for those going through a tough time, my thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedier resolution to your problems.

We miss you here, and I hope you''ll check in when you feel up to it.
 
oh I am so sorry that you are going through all of that at once, Storm. Like someone said, when it rains it pours. Hopefully clear skies are in your near future, though. Things will get better! And I want to say I''m sorry for wifey2b for her loss. Prayers to you both! You are both such kind and thoughtful members of this community.

Storm, does your state have a Department of Labor that handles pay disputes? I often do cases for our DOL here where an employer has not paid an employee a salary, commission, vacation pay, sick leave, etc. Here they have a hearing officer that listens to both sides (you don''t need an attorney to represent you) and makes a decision based on the testimony and the evidence of the investigator who is employed by the DOL. Once the decision is in, either side can appeal to the Superior Court here. I don''t know if this advice will help you or not, but please check and see. Don''t just let it go. If nothing else, you will be a creditor of the company. I will pray for you in this difficult time.

Aww Storm and wifey2b! I am so sorry to hear all this. I will pray for your family during this time of loss wifey2b. And Storm, I will most certainly pray that you''ll find an even better job, and resolve the identity theft problem, and get your elbow operation! Goodness, that is a lot to bear at one time, but I know you know the One in control! Blessings to you both!

It was really hard to write even a few sentences when any little thing I did might throw me off the page where I was typing to post! I wanted to say that I really understand being in a state of mind where diamonds do not hold much interest for one. I have been in a similar state. In my case, neither gold jewelry nor diamonds has held much interest for me. I have other things on my mind. Like Storm, I do care about the people who post here, however, and I try to peek in daily although I know I miss out on a lot of news that I would not have missed out on in the past. I hope everyone is getting Thanksgiving recipes ready on one of the fora! We don't want to miss a year!

I would like to take this time to thank everyone for their thots and prayers for me and my family at the time of my aunt''s passing. It has been a very rough time for my mom as this was her closest sister. My mom comes from a family of 19 and they are now down to 5...being so much younger than most of the others that have passed, doesn''t make it any easier for her.
I too would like your prayers as I too am trying to find a job, and I soon need one. I have been off work since January and am about ready to go crazy!!!! Literally some days! :}
My honey too still needs pray as he is still trying to get his arm looked after so he too can get on with a job and then we can get one with life ;}
Thank you all - you are a very special part of my life :}
 
I just saw this thread and wanted to offer up my good wishes to both of you, and condolences to W2B. [hugs] A loss in the family is always sad and difficult...I''ll be thinking of you. Storm -- what a frustrating set of problems to be dealing with right now, all at the same time. It''s strange how life tends to throw things at us in bunches every so often. I''m particularly creeped out by the ID theft part, as I''ve gone through that (still going through it) and know how vulnerable that makes one feel. Best of luck with getting your elbow fixed up and your career back up and running.

Good luck and hang in there, you two! At times a trite thing to say but still so true: "This, too, shall pass!"

Its really frustrating right now but it looks like I''m slowly moving forward on the surgery front.
kinda 2 steps forward one back type deal.
 
Storm, not to be alarmist, but if someone stole your identity using your SSN, they could have messed with your medical stuff too. I read about this kind of thing in this month''s RD. People are getting medical attention under someone else''s insurance using their SSN. It can cause a real headache for you if your coverage gets maxed by the impersonator, not to mention having things like blood types being changed from your to theirs.

Please check into this for our peace of mind and your safety, especially with surgery upcoming.

W2B, I know the work doesn''t pay the most, and its not the greatest, but the post office and UPS do hire holiday helpers. A co-worker of mine''s husband lost his railroad job, and while he appeals, the postmaster is considering a casual (3 month no benefit) assignement for him...
Like I said, not the greatest, but can work in a pinch..
