ugh I am just SO UPSET!

Just thinking about it makes me cry.
My mom was sent to the emergency room for high blood pressure, which came down on its own before any meds....they admitted her to do a complete check-up and all of her tests came back normal EXCEPT for her nuclear stress test. They doctor said she would be discharged from the hospital pending the results of the nuclear test...I was so excited to take her home (after only 1 night in the hospital) and then the doctor walks in with "the test shows some abnormalities in the heart" at which MY heart dropped. She saw how paniced I was and started crying (so she says, I am sure she too is frightened), which of course made me cry. The cardiologist has to get back to us with what this all means, he is not at the hospital currently. Ironically enought, tonight is the AHA gala a few towns away from us (where all the cardiologist will be of course, go figure).
Anyway, if some prayers could be said, I would GREATLY appreciate it; my mom means the world to me, we are best friends. I just keep thinking about how much fun we had in the emergency room, laughing and playing charades...yes we did hahaha and now look where we are. You just never know what is going to happen. thank you in advance

Sending good thoughts and prayers for your mom and your family. It''s good that this was discovered early. Maybe there are good therapies available, or meds to try. Take care!

More prayers for you and your family.

Oh, that is so scary. You and your Mom are in my prayers.

It is a good sign that the cardiologist thought it was okay to go to the gala. That usually means that the situation was a life or death situation. I know that isn''t much of a consolation, but....

*Hugs*

I am praying for you and your mom. I hope everything turns out okay. Keep us posted!

Golden sending prayers and positive thoughts your way, I know it sounds scary knowing there is something wrong but I always think if the doctors know something is wrong then it can be fixed :). Try and stay positive and please keep us posted

I hope your news is positive...prayers for you and your mom.

THANK YOU ALL FOR KEEPING US IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, YOU ARE ALL SO VERY SWEET!

My mom was discharged from the hospital yesterday, I couldn't be happier. She still has a few out-patient tests to do for the abnormalities they found in her heart- which I believe is some hardening of the outer wall, but for now she is on a special diet/exercise regimen and beta blocker for high blood pressure.
I think we are very lucky this happened before anymore damage was done. She was dizzy last week and went to see her MS specialist. When they took her blood pressure, it was very high and they sent her to the ER. Aside from the dizziness- she felt fine. When we got to the ER, they asked if she had chest pain- SHE DID NOT, she only felt discomfort because she was so nervous about having to go to the ER, BUT the doctor took it as chest pains, that's why they did such extensive test, thank God, otherwise who knows what would have happened to her down the line.

I am so confused, now we just spoke to her doctor and he wants her back in the office immediately because the test was absolutley abnormal. I am so nervous all over again. I am hoping it is a big miscomunication of some sort

Lots of prayers for your mom and your entire family...

((((((HUG))))))

How scary. I am sending prayers your way and hoping everything is fine and that the tests were just a little wacky (for no reason!)...

Lots and lots of > for you.

Prayers from Texas too!

So her primary doctor did not read the addendum to the report; she does not have to rush to the cardiologist, she can keep her appointment for the end of the week. So we at ease once again. I hope the rest of the test go well, this is so scary. She is young, only 56, she has to be around to walk me down the isle (im not even engaged haha)!
Thank you all!

Golden,
My best wishes for your mother.

I''ll keep you and your mom in my thoughts! I know how scary it is when something is possibly wrong with someone we love so much. Best of luck for the best possible outcome!
