Pretty pink Asscher diamond ring

I''ve been scouring the web for pink Asschers... sapphire or diamond. They''re damned hard to find! Although a pink sapphire is much, much more realistic on our budget, I finally found a beautiful pink Asscher diamond ring at Amgad...

1.38ct Emerald/Asscher Cut Fancy Intense Purple-Pink Diamond. Mounted in platinum and surrounded by white diamond pavé.

Me, too. Isn''t it a dreamy stone? I''m not sure that''s how I would set it if purchased loose, but dang....if I got THAT ring, I sure wouldn''t throw it out of bed for eating crackers.

Me, too. Isn''t it a dreamy stone? I''m not sure that''s how I would set it if purchased loose, but dang....if I got THAT ring, I sure wouldn''t throw it out of bed for eating crackers.

ITA....I''d actually bring it a platter of Carr''s and whatever cheese it felt like eating in bed with me. LOL!

I guess that French cuts would be the smallest square stones that could be used... invisibly set in a channel. Just a sleek, gleaming halo. Wow, that would be nice.

The price - yikes.

It''s one of those "if you have to ask..." situations. Barring some windfall, a 1.38 ct pink Asscher is light years out of my grubby reach! If I saw it in a shop, I''d ask. I just can''t bring myself to call Amgad... but if anyone is up for it:

That site is tricky...I clicked on the price info and it makes your register on their site to see pricing. So I registered and it says call for pricing! I would call...but I also sound like a 12 year old on the phone.

Those rings are redonkulously beautiful! I would really like to own a pick diamond and a blue diamond someday. I would even buy those manmade diamonds - not CZs - there''s a lab in Sarasota, FL that makes real diamonds in a lab - they recreate the conditions that turns carbom into diamonds. I know that they do a lot of yellow & orange diamonds, but if they start making pinks & blues, I may have to get one of each

That ring is going to haunt me - it set the bar way too high!

French cut, tiny Asschers, princess... the effect I think that would be nice for a halo around an Asscher is flat. I would totally (OMG) take that ring "as is", but I thing a flatter halo would be stunning.

See how flat the channel set princesses are in this ring? Almost like tiles... I like that. I think Frenchies might reflect more gently, but the flatness on the tops of these is nice.
