Princess stone for pendant

My daughter is graduating from UT this spring and I want to give her something personal from me. Dad and I are giving her a trip to Europe, but I want this pendant to represent all the hard work she has done over the past 3 yrs.

So, princess cuts are not my favorite, but at one time she expressed she liked them. For around $2,500.00, what could I expect to get?

Would an Infinity cut be overkill? They are so expensive anyway. I''d like to get as close to 1ct as possible. But after doing a search or 2, it looks like around .70 - .79 is the range. Any suggestions?

she most certainly deserves something special. i don''t think an infinity cut is overkill at all. if you''re gonna do it, do it right!

the cool thing is, paul cuts some stones in lower colors which i think is great for pendants and earrings. i''m sure you''ll find something that is just right. you can''t go wrong with infinity.
