While I LOVED my AGS0 princess, thanks to PS, I fell in love with asschers. WF''s wonderfully amazing upgrade policy made it easy to get a new stone, which will be set into a new setting and here in 2 weeks. Thanks for the great advice

Without further ado....

.77ct, D, VVS2

Now, I was being an open minded shopper, and wanted two stones to choose from. I was appalled by the nasty cut on the .82. Even Bob from WF said he has no idea how someone was able to cut something so icky!!!!
Comparison shots of mine to the ugly asscher.

And for laughing purposes, I HAD to include the IS for the ugggggly asscher

Your stone is lovely. Will it go into the same setting?

Congrats! What a beauty.

Dream, we had to go with a new setting because my old one (WF flush fit) didn''t allow for a new head to be made (since the ring is attached to the head)

.
We decided on the Three sided pave with no milgrain finish.

But the old setting now requires a new piece to be made

Lovely. Have you seen asschers in person? I am curious about how you reached the decision to change cuts.

I have seen only one, and it was stunning! I immediately fell in love! FI and I live about 1/2 hour from Philly, so a few weekends ago, we drove to the famed Jewelers Row, and visited Steven Singer. I wanted to see one in person before making the decision to switch cuts, and I am very happy I did. The asscher was simply stunning, with the same stats as the new stone (D, VVS2, but a 1.0 ct), and it was just SO beautiful. I just love how the cut makes for such an alluring and beautiful sparkle. When we got engaged early last year, I was a diamond newbie, and wasn''t aware of asschers, or else I would''ve gotten one with my original ering
