Thank you so much you guys.

JCJD - that is pink, its a hoop skirt. My mom and I dyed it using RIT dye and a giant pot on her stove - she has some really cute pictures of the kitty my DH and I rescued who now lives with her trying to help with it.

Congrats! I adore your dress. Cool that you have had the same best friends for so long. Congratulations! By the way your husband looks so much like my brother, I did a double take!

Thanks gail and chickflick

Gail - yeah, they are such great people. Another of my bridesmaids has been my friend since we were 10 years old, and several of the wedding guests were friends I''d had since pre-school. I think my friendships have always been particularly important to me because especially during high school, my parents were somewhat lacking as parents and so my friends (especially those two best friends) have always felt more like family to me. I really am blessed with so many wonderful friends that are so supportive - it never ceases to amaze me. That''s funny about my DH and your brother - I''ve actually never met anyone else that looks that much like my DH except a few of his cousins.

Oh wow, everything looks just beautiful! I have two questions for you:

1) Is one of your groomsmen named Paul? One of my HS friends went to Brown, and he looks a lot like him.

2) How was having a Sunday evening wedding? We are thinking of changing our 11-4 time window to 4-10 so we can take more pics before the ceremony and generally be more relaxed getting ready.

Your dress looked just fabulous on you, and your hubby is so sweet! I just love his expressions.

Hey Peony Girl - funny you should ask, the tall one is indeed named Paul. He and my DH were in the same fraternity at Brown and they were roommates for a year. That''s so funny that you know him!!

I really liked the timeframe - I can''t imagine if we''d had to be ready earlier. I got up at 6am, and other than a quiet hour and a half first thing in the morning with my MOH and my mom, I felt like I was rushing to get ready straight through until we left for pictures before the ceremony at 2pm or so. I would highly recommend the later time frame. The main reason I''ve heard against it is that people will leave early because they have to be at work the next day. Mostly at ours it was just the older people who left early, and even they stayed at least until 9:30/10ish. The younger people mostly all stayed until later, and we finally wrapped up a little after 11 which was later than we''d planned, but really fun because we got to enjoy the last part of the evening in a very laid-back way. Anyway, sorry that''s such along response but hopefully helpful!

Awww...thanks SDL - what sweet things to say. I''m SO excited to see your pics - I''ve been lurking and following your saga with your FILs, and I think it will be so wonderful when you and your FI are married so the drama can (hopefully) calm down and you can enjoy your married life together!

How could I have missed these???

AG, you look lovely! What great pics.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of undergarment were you wearing on top?? My dress is also strapless, and I want to have an hourglass shape like yours. Your curves ROCK!! Did you wear a corset or a longline bra?

Thanks ChargerGrrl - you''re sweet to say such nice things

Re: my dress, I''m actually not wearing anything under my dress at all except boy-short panties (sorry if that''s TMI) and a hoop skirt - nothing on top/torso. I think having the corset back really helped, although my dress was pretty heavily boned in the bodice, which helped. The woman who did my alterations put in the corset back - she makes corsets often and so she put in a bit of extra boning as well.

Honestly, I have an apathy/hate relationship with my curves - I pretty much always think I''m fat, and the boobs are a huge PITA - nothing ever fits right...Anyway, sorry to digress, but I hope that''s helpful and let me know if there''s anything else I can do/tell you.

THANKS for the info AG!

I'm not blessed with fantastic curves like yours. I'm thick in the middle, and I think that a corset will be needed to "cinch me up" as my dress doesn't have boning or lacing.

No problem - I am happy to help if I can

I thought of one more thing, which is if your dress is strapless, double-stick tape is a really good idea. You can see in some of the later reception pictures that my dress is getting a bit loose at the top (and it was laced as tight as it could get at the waist), and without the double-stick tape, I would have had a very embarrassing moment trying to dance!

Amber...I just saw these and they''re absolutely beautiful! You and your new DH look so happy! Congratulations!

Thanks so much IrishAngel - that''s such a nice thing to say! We really are very happy, I feel very lucky

Hey budgetbride - my e-ring is actually only the single band, and the second band is my wedding ring
