Yes, though Scott is hardly new to cutting.

Harriet,

I''m dying to know why and how you are replicating the Tiffany yellow. Sound like a fascinating project.
Why? Because it''s my dream cut.

''Replica'' may be inaccurate. I don''t want it in yellow or at such a size. Now, I''d love it in diamond, but that will have to wait. So, I need to figure out which gem to use. Pink Zircon?

Great idea!

What other colors interest you? Size?

No yellow, brown or grey.

Another project for 2009 - resetting an opal ring given to me by my mom. It''s very pretty - about 9 mm and oval shaped. I''ll have to post pictures soon and hopefully you ladies will be able to help me find a setting - I have no idea where to look for a setting for an opal!

Harriet, I can''t wait to see how your Tiffany Yellow project turns out!

Thanks! I''m looking forward to seeing your finished projects too.

The flower ring in my avatar is getting a new band. This should be ready by 1/13.
I have a small heart pendant that I received from an exboyfriend that I want to turn into a dangling charm for my anklet.
I have an old stone from a ring that is the most gorgeous golden champagne peach and I have no idea what kind of stone it is so I want to get that identified and possibly set into a ring.
Other than that I''ve promised myself that I was gonna stop the jewelry binge...
But if I find a great deal on the perfect peach/golden/champagne diamond in an asscher, radiant, or pear shape to make into a ring, I might be tempted into it.

Oh the list is so long...
1)cushion diamond set in RG with stepcut pear sides(will be ready in a few weeks-yay!)
2)set my chrome tourmaline with sapphire half moons
3)set my fancy dark yellow RB
4)find 3 stones to set into my plat pave setting
5)set my brown rocket shape diamond with step cut trill sides
6)set my purple sapphire with shield sides
7)set my spesss
8)stack rings
9)reset my 3 OEC ring
10)find the right stone for my baguette halo setting

more than enough for now!!!

I have a long list too but rather than rush to finish all of them, I will take my time to find settings or designs I really like before I set them (my gemstones). My list includes:

Setting my blue-green tourmaline from Dan
Setting Afghan tourmaline from Dan
Setting my pair of cushion spess from Richard Homer
something, I need something cut by Barry
My jeweler is looking for a 2ct untreated pigeon blood ruby for me - no windows, it fluoresces, no or minimal extinction, well cut in emerald shape or cushion shape. She said it will take a while

.
Either a rubellite or aquamarine ring (I want a 3-5ct top colour) for a ring.

Further down the road, I would like a paraiba tourmaline and a nice black opal.

Hey, this is probably a stupid question, but what does LOGR mean? I have been seeing that acronym in so many threads lately and was hoping somebody could spell it out for me?

Lord of Gem Rings, an Ebay seller (lord_of_gem_rings) that sells affordable settings.

Thank you so much, LaurenThePartier!
