Another Colorado girl here who agrees!brazen_irish_hussy said:The simple answer is no. I live in CO and don't know anyone who has done it and to be honest, most people I know think it is something silly that teens do to make their relationship seem more important than it is. I am not saying this is the case, but that is they way it is seen in my area.

My boyfriend just sent me a promise ring (.10 and from a maul store, but it is beautiful in every way possible), but our situation is a bit different. We know we want to get married, and he told me he's already trying to figure out how to make the proposal as memorable as possible, but he can't actually propose until next year. Reason being, is that he's getting deployed soon. I haven't seen him since May, but with the contact we've had made it clear to me that as soon as he comes home he'll give me the proposal and the wedding we both dream of. The promise with the ring is a "I promise I'll do my very best to come home safe so we can start to build the life we both want together" kinda thing.
So I personally like 'em. Plus, why turn down free bling?![]()
