I meant to say this earlier, but when I read that I just pictured you walking outside with the dog, juggling the leash and the camera, trying to get close-up shots of your ring while some neighbor looked out of his window thinking "what is wrong with that girl?" Heehee. Seriously though, it''s gorgeous and I enjoy seeing it in all different types of light and environments.

EXACTLY. Couldn''t be more like what happened! My poor dog was like, "OKAY. Gotta Pee. Come ON." I felt so spastic, but hey, the sun was out and it was supposed to be really cloudy that day! Had to take advantage!

Ya know, I would have loved to get my ring on my pancake breakfast. But because it was Disneyland, I ate candy for breakfast.

InLuv, you don''t even know. It''s shameful, really. It''s almost obscene how I am with this thing. I have a hard time typing at work, because I see a glint off of it, and I''m like a magpie, just falling into the little thing. It''s funny, because last night I was telling my fiance that I just love it, and how it''s so cool. And he said, it''s totally better than anyone in my family''s!! I laughed, and said, yeah it is. It''s making me maniacal. But I told him that it''s odd because I''ve considered us engaged ever since we moved in together, over a year and a half ago. The ring just cements it.

I know I''m a day late, but Congratulations!!!! Your ring looks even more beautiful on your hand than it does in the WF pictures. I just love it!
I love the radiant you picked too...glad you went with that instead of the EC. I think it suits the ring better (even though I am partial to ECs since I''m still waiting for mine!).
I''m so glad you had a great time at Disneyland and now you can enjoy your new sparkles every day without having to sneak a peek...
Anyway, congrats again! I was thinking about you this weekend and hoping all had gone according to plan!

I love my FMIL. I guess I got lucky! When is your baby expected? And yes, I couldn''t be happier about getting the radiant, it''s bigger than I thought it would be, which was the only thing holding me back! An emerald just wouldn''t look right in this setting. Now I can think about the band!!

It''s always fun to have a new project, huh??? Maybe there is a matching band from Robbins Bros, or maybe WF can make one for you...
My EC is expected whenever my BF decides it is the right time....It is hiding in the house right now...but I don''t know if it can really be called hiding since I know where it is!

I am hoping sometime in the next couple of months...but I have been really good and I don''t ask about it. I just visit it when no one is home to make sure it''s not lonely. I think just knowing it has been purchased makes me feel less anxious, even though of course I would love to wear it!
 
GGLW, I know that for me, it really was easier knowing the ring was inside the house, because that way I knew it was safe, I knew it was PAID for, and I knew I could see it if I just HAD to. I had to force him to hide it from me, so I wouldn''t peek anymore. It''s so funny, because now I see it on my hand, I can''t believe I actually get to wear it!! Is that odd?
 
Amber, congratulations!!! Your ring is beautiful and I am so jealous that you got proposed to at Disneyland (my favorite place on earth).

Ha ha ha! Thanks! LAJennifer, that''s why he proposed there, we have season passes, and I LOVE it there. It really is my favorite place in the world. It makes sense, if he wants me to go somewhere that I won''t be agonizing over the ring, it''s Disneyland! I mean, what else can keep your mind off of rings besides the Matterhorn?

Hahahahaha...that's funny i think my FI thought the same thing...I do hope I don't drive him totally batty over the next 3 months...we are getting married July 1st OF THIS YEAR!!!! So it's already crazy planning mode for me, so far he's been pretty good about it...we'll see!!
 
See, Amyg, you''ve got an excuse! A quick wedding! I have none! Just wanting to start planning! I can SEE my fiance zoning out when I mention it. I need to make more women friends, I knew this best friends are guys thing would bite me in the tush eventually.

Amber- Actually it''s been amazing how things are just falling into place for us, we pretty much have to pay for the wedding ourselves and so I was quite stressed to think of all the things that needed to be paid for relatively quickly, so on Sat, day 3 of our engagment I went dress shopping hoping to find something on sale for less than $300...Found a dress that I love at a small boutique in town, on sale from $930 to $99!!! Plus my sister paid for it!!! Then, a friend of the family that is a photographer offered to do the photos pro bono and give me a CD with all the shots, and a Family member is making the cake (she''s very talented) plud FI is in a band and they are going to do the reception, and a friend is going to design and print the invitations for us, I bought the blanks yesterday, so with all of that done I have only spent $75...oh and it''s going to be at his parent house out on the lawn...So far a lot of progress has been made and I''ve been able to relax a little...Thank goodness...next issue to overcome is that FI being the retro rocker that he is wants to wear a brown tux!!! Where in the owrld do I find a brown tux????
 
Wow, Amy, that''s so lucky!! Hm.. a brown tux? Let''s see, where can you find one.. I know!! 1976? Just kidding. My prom date wanted a green ruffled tux. In 1997. Yeah, no.
 
I know Amber, I''m afraid this is just not going to be possible for him...which makes me sad, but what can you do??? We''ll just have to thik of another more doable option...
 
Could you get a brown cumberbund/vest type of thing?
 
yea, that''s my next option, maybe even Ivory Tux with brown vest and tie, at least that''s a little more untraditional, I''m gonna have to tak to him about it tonight and see if he has any other ideas...
 
Amberwaves: Ok Ive never posted before so I hope I am doing this right. I tried to send you a private message but couldnt figure out how to do it. Anyways I just wanted to say that I LOVE your ring it is gorgeous! I was wondering if I could get any of the details on it, cut, carat, the 4 C''s etc. Is it an e-ring or did you get it locally? I really like radiants (I think thats what yours is but I could definitely be wrong!) and am trying to get an idea of what numbers I should be looking for by comparing them to the numbers of ones that I know look great!
