I went through the Trump Tower yesterday, and the lighting isn''t very good. There are only 3 places to eat (Starbucks, the Grille and the Trump Bar). Starbucks and The Grille are out in the open, not brightly lit and a group of jewelry lovers might attract unwanted attention. The Trump Bar is small and very dimly lit. As far as shopping goes, I don''t think many stores will be open on a Sunday. Transportation might be a problem because it''s the day before New Year''s Eve.

Okay. So where does that leave us folks? (Madam, thank you for the review and the time spent investigating on our behalf!)

Kt and I are still ready and willing.

I don''t know much about choices for lunch, but I can do a bit of research.

I''m ready and willing too!

So I still think we should meet. Even if many of the stores are close, we can still meet and ogle each other''s bling (and you all have bling I REALLY want to ogle).

Aljd, I''d really appreciate it if you would do some research and suggest someplace for lunch. Or brunch. Or drinks... lol.

All of the hotel restaurants should be open, but they can be ridiculously overpriced ($9.00 for a glass of pineapple juice at the Pierre Hotel, but the lighting would be ideal there). There is a restaurant called Sandomenico at 240 Central Park South that is open for brunch. A lot of non-hotel restaurants don't open until noon on Sunday.

I love brunch and personally, I think all large city restuarants are overpriced. SF is no better than NYC.

The Pierre restaurant looks good. 12:00 noon — 2:30 pm (Sunday Brunch )

www.restaurant.com/sandomenicony Looks fine too. It's a bit pricy (the dirnks), but... it's a holiday and it's a GTG, so a splurge is fine with me... even if it's because the drinks cost as much as the entree...lol.

I might be able to swing brunch.

Aww, I can''t make it.

I''ve come down with a sinus infection and a chronic cough

. I wouldn''t wish my company on anybody until this thing clears up. I hope everyone has a great time.

I've got bronchitis, and am fighting off another bronchitis turning into pneumonia bout (which would make it my third time bronchitis has turned into pneumonia). I stubbornly refused to stay in CA, but am not going to be able to make this GTG. I can barely go out to dinner without an asthma/ coughing attack (we returned home early from a family dinner tonight cause I almost passed out).

Not sure I'm gonna be able to attend the NYE wedding even.

Sorry.

I hope everyone has a wonderful time!

So sorry to hear this MB and Gypsy!!

Looks like we will have to re-schedule this GTG, which is a real bummer b/c it would have been so fun to meet! I have to work that day myself, so I wouldnt have been able to make it either....

Next time you come out this way, Gypsy, we definitely need to plan something!

Hope you both feel better soon!!!

Definitely Dani! I'm really bummed about the GTG, but I know we'll be able to meet up for an east coast GTG one of these days!!

I'm sorry you have to work! Thank you for the get well wishes!

Madame, I hope you feel better soon too! Get lots of rest!

Gypsy, I''m sorry you are not well. I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry you ladies aren''t feeling well......was really looking forward to meeting, but under the circumstances, I think it''s best for you to rest and recover.

We''ll absolutely take a raincheck, though.
