That’s a bummer for consumers. So if I were to ship jewelry, I‘d use USPS so I could insure it but then they wouldn’t pay out claim if the item was lost. That’s just so not reliable at all. Who can one ship jewelry with then?
This is infuriating. I’m so sorry @yssie
I wanted to add my experience. Even though I was aware of your terrible shipping problem, I was convinced by the USPS clerk to use Registered to ship my high-value jewelry package. It was supposed to be delivered two days later. Lol
Firstly, on day two it got stuck in Queens, NY for over 26 hours. I shipped it Wednesday and it’s still in my state two days later?!?
I visited my local PO on a Saturday and the kind Postmaster promised to follow up and call me on Monday.
Lo and behold it moved soon after; I think the Postmaster called. The package then slowly progressed to its destination where it awaited delivery scan and signature from the recipient, CvB. She picked it up and I was so relieved. One week from NY to CA. BUT…the tracking still shows she hasn’t retrieved the package.
Very disappointing…I am not sure I have the stomach for this shipping anymore
Someone else could have received delivery for it and you’d have no idea. If you and Caysie weren’t in communication.
Same as with my package.
That’s scary.
