PSers outside the US - have you heard of this Bongo service?

I just moved to Canada from the US and the shipping rates and lack of international shipping is KILLING me, especially since everything is so much more expensive up here!!!

I''ve been shopping for wedding crap online and one of the sites had a link to this company, Bongo International. Apparently you sign up and they give you a US address and you can have packages shipped there, and they forward them on to you. They do this for like 200 countries, not just Canada! You can pay per use or pay $15/month and save like 50% on international shipping fees.

Has anyone heard of this??

Watch out for the Duty Fees. Every item shipped into Canada with a value of over $20 is usually hit with a Duty Fee, sometimes as much as 20% of the value, so keep that in mind if you are importing expensive goods.

Also, sometimes the US business charges Export Fees as well. Your best bet is to ship it to a friend close to the border and have them ship it over marked as a gift. Less fees that way.
