Purple/Blue Sapphire?

Bought this sapphire at an auction a while ago and was wondering if anyone call tell me anything about it from the photos attached.

What color would you say it is?
can you tell if its synthetic or heat treated?

I am new to this whole world so even basic info is good.. didn't outlay much for it so even if its a dud help me get educated!

I can tell you're in the trade because that's the pro-grade tape measure that they all use...

Looks violet to me. That's all anyone can say. Not super-saturated and your best shot is of the pavilion and not the crown. I assume it looks its best with the camera/phone lens parallel to the table facet -- but you have no photos of that. That's the best depiction of the color -- how it would look when it is set.
