I think it might be flipping because the pendant depth is fairly deep. I have one that is set very shallow (the culet practically touches my neck) and it doesn''t flip. Maybe they can shave a little off the back.
Wouldn''t that make it more frount heavy and make it flip more?

I''m interested to hear the answers. I was going to get a bezel pendant and jsut decided against it b/c I was afraid of flipping...
I know Bella mezzo! I didn''t do it either because of this, and ended up getting my bezel on rabbit ears (I know).

I never have to worry about it flipping though and I love it!

I have a bezel from WF that was their stock setting and I just had them shave it down as thin as possible to get it to look more like the DBY kind of floating setting. It hardly ever flips. I think it's a combo of things: where the pendant is placed on the chain, the depth of the stone against the setting backing, and also the chain length (where it hits on your neck).

I have heard that the DBY necklace styles (the ones with multiple stones) tend to flip more but my solitaire has not been a hassle.

ETA looking at your pic of the depth of the setting, I think that might be tipping it fwd a bit since it's so deep. I would have them shave it down if possible to get as close to the depth of the actual stone and that might help.

I have the same necklace as Mara and mine doesn''t flip at all (not that I''ve ever noticed anyway). I think it''s because the bezel is deep enough that it rest nicely on the neck...my chain is 16 in.

Mara - I''m a total copy-cat, when you 1st posted yours like 2 years ago??? I contacted WF and had one made pretty much right away
