Sonnyjane, that is exactly what I want. I love the dress too. I definitely want a really pretty dress with a little Grecian flair. Im sure my DH will wear the same thing your DH wore. You guys look so happy together. I love the photos. I totally agree with the whole stress with planning a big wedding. I think that's why I have been putting it off. My DH is all over this idea now. I really appreciate all your input. You have helped me tremendously. Now I just have to decide where we should go ;)

Oh man! Now I am living vicariously through you haha! If you're doing it for your 20th, honestly I'd spare no expense (well within reason haha). That's a huge accomplishment! I'm currently daydreaming/planning our next big trip together to either Bora Bora/Moorea or St. Lucia. We went to Kauai earlier this year and stayed at a HEAVENLY resort (Grand Hyatt) and I never ever ever ever ever wanted to leave their lazy river! If you start to think of possibilities I'd love for you to plan on the boards... I got a lot of tips for my previous vacations here and I love getting recommendations. Do you have any ideas thus far about where you might like to go?? I practically live on TripAdvisor because I plan imaginary trips in my head all the time lol. How exciting! :appl: :appl: :appl:

HI SJ!

I haven't decided exactly where I want to go. I would like it to be somewhere exotic or tropical. My DHs father lived in Hawaii for four years and I always wanted to visit him there but I am clostrophobic and have never been on a plane. My husband has been on a plane hundreds of times extraditing criminals. We still really want to go to Hawaii, I just don't know where. I promised him, so I will face my fears and fly. I would love a nice place on the beach with a jacuzzi. I wouldn't mind a pool in the room too. We went to the poconos about three years ago for the weekend and it was really nice because the had planned activities. They had a schedule and if you didn't want to go you didn't have to. But they always had something going on and they were all for couples which was nice. We met so many nice people.

Honestly, I'm not sure what others things there is to do on our getaway. On our first vacation together, we played putt putt golf and hung out in our room. The other time was when we went to the poconos. Both times I worried so much about the kids, we ended up coming home early. Which will be much harder to do if we go to Hawaii. I really just want to have some fun with my DH. We haven't done that in a long time. So what kinds of activities did you guys do on your honeymoon? Did the photographer follow you guys around?

The photographer was just for the wedding, we were on our own for the honeymoon. I bought a waterproof digital camera for about $300 and we did a lot of snorkeling and once SCUBA trip. That was our trip to Maui, and honestly I felt like I "wasted" my vacation because I was trying to do so many activities (followed the "tourist" checklist of things to see) that I didn't actually get a relaxing vacation. Kauai was MUCH nicer because we went for 7 days and I really literally did almost nothing. It was perfect. We did a whale-watching trip, but that was the only organized activity. Other than that, we would wake up, eat breakfast hang out by the pool, have lunch (usually delivered to our lounge chair), swim some more, nap, then get ready for dinner. It was perfect. VERY relaxing, and just what I wanted. I know when I came back a lot of people were shocked that I didn't hike a certain trail or kayak a certain river but the truth is, we really just wanted to go somewhere to rest and drink tropical drinks, and that's exactly what we did :)

If you do decided on somewhere in either Maui or Kauai let me know, as they are still pretty fresh in my head.

And don't worry about flying... there are many people like you that have a hard time, and your doctor can write you a prescription for something to help you out ;)

It took me forever to get back on this thread. Sheesh... This app is showing nothing but blank pages. Anywho, I will have to do some research on each place but I would just like to relax and enjoy time with DH. The poconos activities were nice because they we at night and involved all couples. One thing I would like is a hotel as apposed to a condo because I want to be able to get room service. Unless they have really nice restaurants in walking distance.

I try not to think of the plane ride. I heard its a really long ride which does make me nervous. I'm not sure what the doctor can prescribe but I know I want to get it ;)

Hey, August in MD can be tricky. That's the beginning of hurricane season. May or June would actually be better timing as those months are pretty warm on the East coast.
