We got a cd with all of the images taken from our engagement session. I had planned to go to CVS or Walgreens to print off some pictures, using one of the handy machines in the store. Fiance suggested that going to store specializing in printing pics and developing film might produce better pictures. What do you think? Does it matter?

Thanks!

I would go with www.mpix.com They are a division of a professional lab and produce great prints and have some fun options for the type of photo print.

Have you considered using an online company? There are several really good ones that are reasonably priced. Mpix is really good and I''ve also had success with Snapfish, Kodak, and Shutterfly. I''ve also heard that Costco is really good.

Thanks Barcelona and Hudson! No, I had not considered using an online company...but I will now :)Good suggestions.

I had a CD of engagment photos as well. We used Costco to print them out and were really happy with them.

thank you again!! i went to mpix, uploaded the images from the cd, and have already sent the information to my mom and my fmil so that they can order their own pics as well! very easy.

I haven''t been impressed with MPix. I used them to print some of my wedding photos to hang in our house, then got some cheaper prints from Costco. When the MPix photos arrived I was disappointed to find that the color was way way off - my dress looked purple. I went ahead and compared them to the Costco photos and was surprised to find the Costco prints were on higher quality paper at less than half the price.

I contacted MPix about the problem with the color and they had them re-printed and reshipped. The color was STILL off, so they had to be printed and shipped a third time. Their customer service was great, but I wish I had stuck with Costco''s one hour printing. The third set of prints was way better than the first, but still not as good as the ones from Costco.

If your mom or whoever else wants prints, you can order them through Costco and have them printed in one hour at their local store. I won''t bother wtih MPix again...

Wow, Erica, that REALLY sucks!

Does Costco print announcements, photo books, etc?

Costco has a deal with myPublisher and you get 20% off all photobooks, announcements, etc printed through them. Go through the Costco website to get the right software. That is where I had my photobooks done and they came out WONDERFULLY!

When ordering from Mpix, you should always make sure you select color correction at check out. That way Mpix is responsible for any color issues. There are huge variations from monitor to monitor and 99% of people do not have calibrated monitors.

oh no!!!!! too late
