Both stones are around the same price, and I intend on putting it in a rose gold setting.

Stone A:
0.75 carat
I color
VVS2 clarity
EX/VG
5.45 x 5.43 mm

Stone B:
0.72 carat
G color
VS2 clarity
EX/VG
5.43 x 5.13

So which do you prefer? And I would greatly appreciate comments on why! :)

Last minute votes! Will be ordering in 30 minutes!

I chose stone B, because that Aset is amazing! and it's a bit brighter than the first stone. They're both beautiful stones though! Just out of curiosity, how much are they?

I choose 2 because the ASET looked better. There was a big patch of darkeness in the first one under the table that was matched in the ASET.

Stone B. Look at the red for light return. It goes edge to edge in stone B. Stone A will look smaller than it should.

I like the faceting on stone A better, but the ASET for the second stone is way better. I don't love either of them, but I'd probably go for B.

Oh gosh! I think A is better! The symmetry is so much better and the other one is SMALLER!!!! 5.4mm square is nice, but I would not consider one smaller than that. Plus I like the square shape better on the first one.

Second stone has great brightness on edges but not so much in the center.

My preference would be the more square shape of A - I prefer square to elongated, but I do like the bright white ASET of B.

I think the 1/2 hour time has passed- which did you go for??

Neither.
The patterning under under the edges of the table in A would annoy me and the mush under the table in B would drive me nuts...

what does the gemologist say? why such a hurry for such a large long time purchase?

Actually, that would have been my answer. There are better cushions than these.

Depends which outline you like better.

I would have said this but it seemed like you were into a different pattern than I am. If you're open to other options, there are most definitely better choices. But it seemed like you were in a hurry. I hope where ever you're ordering from has a return policy if you're not happy.

Thank you for all the feedback and voting everyone! I went with Stone B =)

I liked the rounded edges and the facet pattern was more to my liking. I know the stone is relatively small (especially compared to all the intimidating diamonds in the forum) but I have a limited budget as I plan on taking her to Europe for a month and then come back to start medical school.

I'm happy with the stone, and I can only hope she will too! Who knows, once I actually start making money we can opt for a center stone upgrade lol
