Radiant Color Confusion

I have a 2 carat radiant, which is IGI International (Hong Kong) graded as "G" in color. Usually, the stone looks white (warm white) but under some lighting it looks straight up yellowish. Especially outside when it is overcast. I know that the color grading may be off a little, as it is IGI Int'l certified, but could it be so off that it falls more in the J-L color range? Or do the proportions change the color a bit (and if so, should I take it to a diamond cutter to adjust the proportions)?

Any comments would be appreciated!

Sure, the color could possibly be 1-4 grades off. You shouldn't see any yellow until you get to the low I range, from my experience. But it does make a difference in what environment you are viewing the stone. I do think cut has an influence on how a stone will show it's color, but not necessarily if the color is a low one. You could have GIA grade the stone if you really wanted to know. Do you have a close up picture of the stone?
