Radiant or Cushion in halo micro Pave ???

Please help!
Which stone looks better in the halo micropave setting... Radiant or Cushion? I rarely see the Radiant set this way.. is there a reason for it?
Also, which cut appears to be larger if all specs are the same?

You should hit report concern in the right hand corner and ask teh mods to move this to rocky talk.

I have only seen Radiants halo'ed at DBL. I'm not sure if this is the offical reason but I'm guessing it is because the halo is possible more eye pleasing with curved lines??!??!?!? I also think a radiant faces up larger then a cushion but not by much. That is if all things are equal- but I'm not an expert so the wonderful people are RT can answer this much better then I can.

Here is a a micropave ring with a radiant diamond that I saw at Cartier. Both stones are quite beautiful with the micropave. I wonder why as well.

Well, normally they have similar faceting...the biggest difference is the corner. Radiants will have asscher corners whereas cushions have rounded corners.

I think radiants are beautiful but I'd say cushion in this case as well.

I love the softness of the cushions, but having just received a 7 stone of radiants --- WOW - do they fire off a TON of sparkle!! I hope you get the chance to view them IRL and under all kinds of lighting conditions!

I am a huge fan of stalking the www.diamondsbylauren.com website (drool factor - 1,000,000,000%!!!) and they do have some haloed radiants on there to look at. Usually in the coloured stones - but have a browse and you can at least compare which appeal to you that way.

Heck --- get both!!!
