It''s almost 10!!! Any news on the counter-offer??
They did sumbit a verbal coutneroffer last night and we are in the middle of working things out...I hope. I am waiting patiently. They had some questions about the home inspection. My stomach is doing sommersaults.

I also think, one a price is settled, I will ask the broker if she will reduce the commission. And I also plan to write a letter of some sort to report the agent''s unprofessional behavior.
Good luck with the offer! Keeping fingers and toes crossed. I would definitely write a letter of some sort to report her unprofessional behaviour. I was once in a dispute with an old landlord over living conditions and had a lawyer that was recommended through someone associated w/my local bar association. Long story short, we had an agreed upon price for his services and he tried to bully me into paying a ton more. After a nicely (but strongly) worded three page letter, I never heard from him again. Definitely stand up for yourself - you won''t be sorry you did.

Well I hope it all works out for you. I''m still sick thinking of her behavior towards you.

So, I have a contract!

They have a 10 day due diligence, so they can technically back out for any reason within 10 days, but its not likely. Its just gives them time for the inspection, etc. I have an inspection on Thursday. I am sure he will try to find lord knows what, even though my house is just 3 years old.

I spoke to the broker about the lowering the commission. She did not close the door on the idea, but she said her agent wanted to hold firm to the agreed upon commission. I think I will put together something written expressing why it should be discounted. The commission does in fact go to the broker and the broker then pays the agents. So, at least she (the mean agent) will not be getting all the money.

So, now the countdown begins…I have to have 10 days pass w/o incident, then I am on the road to closing on my house!!!!

Keep your fingers crossed and thank you so much for all your support!!!

Fingers, Toes, Shoelaces, and Bows!!! I''ve got them all crossed!!!

What an ordeal! I''ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I''m glad that the offer was accepted. I hope you don''t have to deal with the crazy woman any more. I''m speechless, I can''t believe that she said that to you! How crazy is that!?

Good for you, Mintve! Best wishes ... in the end good will prevail!
That agent will get what''s coming to her and you will sell your house.

Wow, mintve, I really hope this works out for you.

I agree with delster, this gal is just a bully, and no one deserves to be treated that way...I would definitely follow through with your complaint, even if it doesn''t get you anywhere, you will be doing other potential employers and their buyers a huge favor.

Try not to stress too much, and please let us know how everything ends up. {HUGS}

mintive, great to hear!! I''ll keep my fingers crossed until it''s final.
