What do PriceScopers think of Rebecca Romijn's concept of laser-pierced suspended diamonds?

I have seen these about ten years ago being made by a wholesaler, and even considered adding to my stores (but push back from my sales team).
They work really well for diamonds by the yard however with larger diamonds there is a pain factor. The culet could cause some small blood loss!
When you consider the typical bezel setting hides about 10-15% of the diamond I think this works just as well.
