I just discovered this forum, and it seems I''m coming late to the game, but I saw an older thread on this topic that I thought could use some freshening.
I live in Rochester NY, and I''ve done business with a lot of Rochester jewelry stores, and the best I have found is West & Company, owned by designer David Nytch West. I can''t say enough positive things about Dave''s design work, and the service they give you in that store.
When I buy jewelry now, it''s always the first place I head.
