I think you said WF gave you a quote for that Ritani setting some months ago.. would you mind sharing it or providing a quote range so I get a rough idea of its pricing? I understand if you prefer not.
One thing I noticed Jimmianne about your paper-Ritani is that the petal orientation is more like this Stuller setting. Maybe you should turn the paper and take a look again? Give us another picture!klokkeblomst|1401416025|3682835 said:Stuller makes a setting similar to the Ritani, but with more traditional prong placement, which I think makes it feel more delicate: http://www.stuller.com/products/122237/?groupId=120088

I like that Bella Halo that DS posted too, although it's a plain shank. Gabbie is nice too. That orientation is like the Stuller.

I think the new setting will look fantastic with your band. I would get pave in the shank and a milgrain finish, if possible.
I can't wait to see it all together!

[edit]and the ice & twig pieces are on sale right now : )

Congratulations!Jimmianne|1401576269|3684007 said:I ordered the Ritani "4-lobe" setting today. [!] I'm going to see how it looks without milgrain first, although DS's instincts are so good that I feel a little torn about my decision.
Anyway, 3 to 4 weeks from now I'll have both my PSPS [purchases since PS] set, in hand/on hand.

So you must have gone with your local dealer?
Did s/he say if the milgrain could be added after-the-fact?
Can't wait to see your set!

I think that ring will be gorgeous - with that band or even on its own! Can't wait to see it finished! I think you are gonna love it!!

As far as milgraine, I could see both working, though I'd prefer also the inside of the lobes for a consistent look. I think having a smooth inside and milgain outside would be one too many features to take in... already have the interesting lobes, interesting mêlée, interesting prong orientation, interesting diamond (that contrasts the mêlée) and then you'll have milgraine. Better to keep the features simple by consistency so the shapes and textures speak for themselves.
