I need help finding a reliable and experience jeweler in iowa that can help me get my fiance''s ring resized. It was handed down to me from my aunt. It''s going down from a size 7 to a size 4-1/2. the only problem is that it has 5 stones 2 ruby 2 dimonds and one fake (i think). So far all I have heard from local jewelers is that two of the stones have to be removed, because they will be to far down my fiance''s finger (about halfway). Does anyone know if it is possible to downsize the ring without taking any of the stones out. I don''t care about reconfiguring them, but i would like to keep the ring as original as possible. And I''m not to indepth on ring terms or shaping processes. I just need help with my problem.
