Return band - flat vs domed engraved ring

I assume that he could add milgrain to @HS4S_2 ring because it was wider that the one I’m having made ? I think I’m ok without the milgrain (at least with the way I visualize it in my head). But even if it doesn’t look nice I’m going to accept it as not to be cut off from him (as @ yssie said )

Just ask him why.

My domed engraved band from Victor Canera also had milgrain edging. That band was 1.8mm wide. It's possible you and he aren't talking about the same thing and it would be a pity to not get what you want over some minor miscommunication. Or, if it isn't possible, then you've learnt something specific for future reference.

I believe that this band was 2mm. So it is definitely possible.

I posted it in another thread and forgot to update it here *facepalm*. I received the band a few weeks ago and I LOVE it. The engraving is so beautiful and well done. The color is so rich that is making me wish I had gotten the main ring in 22k. I want to thank all of you for encouraging me to go back to him with the changes.
