It looks like old stones, possibly from an engagement and a wedding ring put into a 1950''s-1960''s era re-mounted bow knot, or ribbon ring style. It was a popular way to re-use diamonds from previous jewelry. The weight and thickness of the ring suggests it was made when gold and platinum were very much less costly that in the 1970''s and ever since. Once gold began its upward climb in the early 1970''s it never looked back at $35 per ounce. Models were thinned out over the past 40 years again and again. Finally, the jewelry commercially produced today is as thin as it can get or even overly delicate. Now we even see diamonds set in sterling jewelry on high volume products.

Of course, there are those makers who have held to decent standards of manufacturing jewelry. We see more on Pricescope than what you''d generally find in the overall market. Many of the full weight items made before gold went sky high are going to wear well and last a very long time. Hope this helps you.

Thank you, yes there is a lot of gold to the setting for sure
